With 100 active projects and a growing portfolio, we are expanding our leadership team to drive standardization, efficiency, and high-quality execution across all engagements.Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Director of Program Management to lead our regional project delivery efforts from our Frederick, MD location. This leadership role oversees a team of Project Managers and coordinates with regional operations and technical departments to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality-driven project outcomes.This is a strategic leadership role—not a tactical one. You will manage the full project portfolio, assign work to PMs, enforce governance standards, and collaborate with regional and departmental leadership to align resources. You will not be involved in crew scheduling, employee management, or daily task assignments.Key Responsibilities:Project Portfolio Oversight:Manage all active and upcoming projects across structured cabling, MSP onboarding, cloud migrations, and infrastructure deployments. Ensure each project aligns with company goals and client expectations.Standardization & Governance:Define and enforce project management standards, templates, and workflows. Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance delivery consistency and efficiency across the region.PM Team Leadership:Supervise and mentor Project Managers. Set KPIs, review performance, and provide coaching on risk management, scope control, and issue resolution. Ensure the team executes projects within scope, budget, and timeline.Cross-Regional Resource Coordination:Liaise with the Maryland and Northern West Virginia regional managers and department heads (e.g., Networking, Cloud, Support Services) to align resources with project demands. Plan ahead for upcoming projects by forecasting resource needs and adjusting assignments to avoid overload. While you will coordinate the “who/when” at a high level, local managers will handle the detailed scheduling of personnel. Your role is to make sure projects have the required people and skills allocated at the right times.Client and Internal Communication:Act as a senior point of contact for project escalations, executive status updates, and cross-functional handoffs. Partner with sales and account management to ensure smooth transitions from contract to kickoff.Performance Analysis & Reporting:Monitor project KPIs and generate monthly reports on schedule adherence, budget performance, and delivery health. Identify and address risks early, using data to improve future execution.Continuous Improvement & Growth:Analyze performance trends and recommend process refinements.
