What are the responsibilities and job description for the Category Insights Analyst position at Advantage Solutions?
As a Category Insights Analyst, you will be a crucial analytical and insights resource for our clients with <$20M in retail sales in a specific regional sales market. Your primary responsibilities will include accelerating information delivery, streamlining processes, and providing key insights, reporting, forecasting, and sales planning support. Additionally, you will be tasked with post-promotional analytics and providing pricing recommendations to drive client development and Advantage growth.
A significant aspect of your role will involve collecting, analyzing, and reporting information using a variety of tools, data sets (i.e. NIQ, Circana, retailer, shipment, etc.), and techniques. Working closely with a regional sales office, you will collaborate with internal and external clients to identify data reporting needs, conduct business data analysis, and create both ad hoc and standardized reports to facilitate actionable insights.
As the Category Insights Analyst, you will be regarded as the subject matter expert in consumption data for your assigned clients. You may also be involved in developing or implementing tools to enhance processes for capturing business data and maintaining data quality.
