Advantage Metal Work has an immediate need for a Sheet Metal Grinder/Finisher for a low volume high mix sheet metal fabrication company. Emphasis on Stainless Steel Finishing.
Title: Sheet Metal Grinder
Reports To: Department Manager
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours)
FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Essential Functions:
- Manually grind and polish welds
- Basic use of hand tools
- Maintain required documentation
- Ability to work independently
- Available to work extended days and/or weekends as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Able to perform all types of finishing technique
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic
- Prior grinding experience is desired; experience with stainless steel and aluminum a plus
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.98 per hour
