Job Summary

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence.
• Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, sensory experiences, and interactive learning to support childhood development milestones.
• Support children with special needs through tailored activities and collaboration with specialists in early intervention and special education.
• Foster strong communication with families by providing regular updates on children’s progress and maintaining open lines of dialogue about their developmental needs.
• Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of all children by maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to childcare regulations.
• Utilize assessment tools such as standardized testing and observational techniques to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices in preschool experience, toddler care, and early intervention strategies to enhance overall program quality.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with children aged two to five in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early literacy education.
• Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as play-based learning.
• Familiarity with working with children with diverse needs including those requiring special education or additional support services.
• Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, and team members.
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies to maintain an organized environment conducive to learning.
• Previous experience in private school settings or daycare environments is advantageous but not required.
