An elementary school in Herriman is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered 1st Grade Teacher Assistant to join our team. This position supports classroom instruction and helps create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment for young learners in our arts-integrated charter school.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist with classroom management, organization, and transitions
- Support students' social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Help prepare materials and maintain a welcoming classroom environment
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, or transitions as assigned

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have passed the PRAXIS exam, or have an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree). Qualified applicants will work under direction of a certified teacher. Preference may be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching. Candidates must also submit for and pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.
