What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant position at Bonneville Academy?
To assist classroom teachers in the instructional process, reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment.
Duties:
- Support academic interventions by working with individual students or small groups under the guidance of licensed teachers and administration, reinforcing targeted skills in reading, math, and other core subjects.
- Assist with classroom instruction and activities, helping to maintain a positive learning environment and ensuring students stay engaged and on task.
- Provide active student supervision during non-instructional times, including recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal, to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Serve as a substitute in classrooms when needed, following lesson plans and maintaining student safety, and established classroom routines in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support school operations, which may include preparing materials, assisting with assessments, carpool duty, and participating in school-wide events or trainings.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
