Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager in White House, TN to lead our quality team and ensure that our products, processes, and systems consistently meet the highest standards. This position plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement, overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), and maintaining customer satisfaction through proactive quality leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, technical field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment, medical preferred
- Strong knowledge of Quality Core Tools (certified training preferred)
- IATF 16949 training required; ISO 13485 and AS9100 experience highly desirable
- Lean and Six Sigma training preferred; formal Project Management training a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on structure, organization, and lean processes
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Adobe Acrobat and MS Project a plus
- Experience with PLEX or other ERP systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall quality performance, including cost of quality, internal/external rejections, and QMS effectiveness.
- Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Establish and monitor Quality Objectives; implement improvements where needed.
- Communicate and promote quality philosophy across all levels of the organization.
- Serve as a key member of Management Review meetings, collaborating with leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison with customers, ensuring satisfaction and timely response to quality-related issues or complaints.
- Lead internal and external audits to maintain compliance with applicable standards.
- Review and audit Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to monitor process stability and capability.
- Manage nonconforming products, determine disposition, and request customer deviations as needed.
- Identify, develop, and implement innovative approaches to resolve quality challenges.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and cross-functional teams.
- Participate directly in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including PPAP reviews.
- Design, implement, and deliver quality assurance training programs for staff.
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to achieve measurable results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
