We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in fire sprinkler systems installation, maintenance, and repair within commercial and industrial construction environments. The ideal candidate will develop skills in pipe fitting, welding, blueprint reading, and system assembly while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems according to project specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine system layout and piping routes
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and tube bending tools to assemble piping systems
- Measure and cut pipes accurately using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure proper fitment
- Follow ASME codes & standards during fabrication and installation processes
- Assist with rigging, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly of sprinkler system components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites or manufacturing facilities
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques including MIG (GMAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and
welding - Familiarity with fire sprinkler fitting, plumbing, HVAC systems, pipeline installation, and tube bending processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment
- Understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and system layout
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to piping systems
- Experience with system assembly, maintenance tasks, or related construction activities is a plus but not required
