Job Description

AWC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Assurance Inspector to support our quality and manufacturing operations. This entry-level position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and inspection requirements.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in accurate work, has strong attention to detail, and is willing to learn quality inspection processes. Experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse operations, or quality control is helpful but not required. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming material, in-process products, and finished products.
• Verify products meet established quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Accurately document inspection results in accordance with quality procedures.
• Identify, document, and communicate product defects and nonconformances to the Quality Technician or Lead Quality Technician.
• Segregate nonconforming materials and perform sorting or containment activities as directed.
• Report recurring defects, abnormalities, and inspection trends to the Quality Team.
• Support product release by verifying inspection requirements have been met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled inspection area.
• Follow established safety, quality, and inspection procedures.
• Process customer returns according with established procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain records.
• Reliable attendance, dependability, and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn new inspection methods, tools, and processes.
• Ability to reading and understand how electrical components interact.
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to perform detailed inspections.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse operations, quality inspection, or a related environment.
• Previous in-coming inspection experience.
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools, such as calipers, rulers, multimeter, or communication analyzers.
• Basic computer skills and experience entering information into a system.

Physical & Work Environment

• Primarily on-site in a manufacturing and inspection environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive inspection tasks as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 20-50lbs as required.
• Ability to handle and inspect products and materials safely.
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy during routine and detailed inspection activities.
