Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in managing appointment scheduling, patient communication, and administrative support within a busy clinical environment. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, excellent patient service, and efficient office management.
Duties
- Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring accurate scheduling across multiple therapy services using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system.
- Greet patients and visitors professionally, providing exceptional front desk customer service while maintaining phone etiquette on multi-line phone systems.
- Manage medical records, including filing, documentation review, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management.
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical histories.
- Support medical billing activities by understanding CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare requirements for accurate claims submission.
- Maintain office organization by managing filing systems, scheduling follow-up appointments, and supporting clinic operations efficiently.
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is required, preferably within pediatrics or dental clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR system.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and insurance verification processes.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and specialized dental or medical practice management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding patient service and handle sensitive information discreetly.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
