Description/Comment:

Qualifications: 2 DIFFERENT POSITIONS LAID OUT BELOW!!!

Mechanical Technician: able to use basic hand and power tools to complete demolition of tubing and piping systems. They have a basic understanding of rigging and crane operations (not an operator, but familiar with working with crane ops). They have the ability to properly read a P&ID and inspect/verify LOTO, can critically evaluate work instructions for areas for improvement and better more efficient ways of doing things. They are experts and building and installing 37° Flared tubing for cryogenics where you cannot leave residual stresses, as well as proper torquing of bolts and fittings using torque wrenches. Experience with welding of pipe supports, structural D1.1 certification, ASME B31.3 Pipe weld certification, and ASME B31.3 Orbital Tube welding are also beneficial, but not required. Fall protection training is highly encouraged as much of the work will require it.

Instrumentation and Controls Technicians: An instrumentation and control technician (I&C) is able to use standard hand and power tools to inspect and remove damaged wiring. They are able to organize and assist with cabling pulling, wire stripping, wire labeling, terminating wires using standard crimp connectors. They are able to perform electrical checkouts on low voltage (<50V) wiring to ensure continuity and voltage injections checks to verify proper readings. They are familiar with compression style WAGO blocks and 38999 connectors as well as CAT 6 and RG 45 connectors. IPC-A-610 and NEC (NFPA 70) familiarity is required, with IPC 610 J standard certification beneficial, but not required.
