Shelter Care Staff personnel, in Haverhill, MA

Schedule: Part-Time hours 30 hours / week

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Friday 4:30pm-12am

Shelter Care Staff – Job Duties (Homeless Shelter)

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Shelter Care Staff at a homeless shelter. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe and respectful environment for all guests and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor shelter guests to ensure a safe and orderly environment
• Enforce shelter rules and policies
• Conduct routine rounds throughout the site to ensure safety and identify any issues
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports as needed
• Serve as a visible presence and point of contact for guests requiring assistance
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with all individuals on site
• Light Cleaning Duties
• Assisting in meal service

Qualifications:

• Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Strong observation and communication skills
• No prior experience necessary – paid training will be provided
• Must be 21 and be able to pass a MA CORI Background check

-Must be able to walk, stand and use stairs

-Must have reliable transportation to the jobsite
