This role is responsible for evaluating service requests, inspecting commercial roofing systems, and preparing accurate estimates for repairs, maintenance, and small-scale re-roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, service technicians, and internal teams.
- Conduct on-site inspections of commercial roofs to assess damage, wear, and service needs.
- Develop detailed and accurate estimates for service repairs, preventative maintenance, and minor re-roofing projects.
- Collaborate with service technicians and project managers to ensure estimates reflect actual field conditions.
- Communicate with clients to clarify project scope, present proposals, and answer questions.
- Track and follow up on outstanding estimates and proposals to support sales efforts.
- Maintain current knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and industry best practices.
- Utilize estimating software and CRM tools to generate and manage proposals.
- Ensure all estimates comply with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
Education
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience acceptable
Experience
- 5 years’ experience in commercial roofing applications, management, and estimating
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, built-up, metal).
- Proficiency in estimating software (Edge preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a service-focused commercial roofing environment.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Use and operation of drones a Plus
- Familiarity with CRM systems and digital proposal tools.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification Preferred
- Successful Pre-Employment Drug Test
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Full time onsite
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks during roof inspections.
