Summary

The Physical Security Administrator (PSA) will oversee all aspects of the Company's security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM 32) CFR Part 117 in cooperation with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).

The PSA will be responsible for managing policies and programs related to personnel clearances, security education and training, facility clearances, asset protection, NISP reporting, visits/meetings, inspections/SVA, derivative classification and marking, and transmission of material.

Ensure that the facility meets all requirements of the National Security Program by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide technical and operational support to COMSEC account managers in the daily handling, safeguarding, distribution, and destruction of COMSEC keying material and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of COMSEC assets via KMI/EKMS or other COMSEC accounting systems.
  • Prepare and process COMSEC material requests, transaction reports, and other documentation as required.
  • Implement, and update when necessary, security policy documents to include Security Practice Procedures (SPP), Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA), and Insider Threat Program (ITP)
  • Possess a working knowledge of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) information systems of record to include DISS, NISS, NBIS, and NCAISS, and DIAS.
  • Lead participant in inspections/security reviews.
  • Coordinating and conducting periodic self-inspections related to the activity, information, system, and conditions of the overall security program, to include the insider threat program.
  • Processes requests for visits and assures that visitor logs are maintained.
  • Maintains facility access control and personnel badging.

COMSEC Custodian

Holds the title of COMSEC (Communications Security) Custodian and performs related duties on a regular and ongoing basis. Accounts for all COMSEC materials at the Company's facility, the movement of these materials in and out of the company's facility, and provides required reports to the assigned Government agency.

Secret level security clearance required.

Education and/or Experience

High School or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3-5 years year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have experience with understanding government contracting requirements.

Computer Skills

Ability to effectively use office computers and Microsoft office software for word processing, spreadsheets; i.e., Excel, Microsoft Word, Project, etc.

Other Skills and Abilities

Prefer familiarity with use of VIPER Phone.

The likely salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, API considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
