We are a growing company, focused on innovative manufacturing of high-quality products in several sectors. We are therefore looking for a hardworking and organized Quality Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to Quality personnel.
- Assist and provide guidance with investigations pertaining to quality and food safety.
- Deliver dispositions regarding product quality and food safety nonconformances and issues.
- Oversee release of in-process products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Manage and support on-site testing of raw materials, in process and finished products, bulk and packaged according to established procedures and specifications.
- Oversee verification, validation, calibration, and IQOQ of testing instrumentation, including scales.
- Ensures that Quality team members are properly trained in their specific job functions.
- Oversee the list of approved chemicals, and review and approve requests for additions.
- Maintains and verifies cGMP records and documents pertaining to Quality Control Functions for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as main point of contact for external partners for Quality operations.
- Oversees ongoing internal GMP audits to assure compliance.
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement initiatives pertaining to Quality Control, Laboratory Operations, and Food Safety.
- Participate in CAPAs and continuous improvement initiatives as necessary.
- Participate in third-party visits and audits as necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Experience and Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, nutrition, biology, or related field, preferred.
- Two or more years of quality experience in food or dietary supplements preferred.
- PCQI certified, preferred.
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as web search for technical information.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- May require occasional swing shift hours.
- Occasionally subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required.
- Occasionally be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, powders, dust and other particles typical of a manufacturing environment.
- May be required to wear protective gear, i.e. dust masks, gloves, etc.
- Regularly involves talking or listening, sitting, and the use of hands and fingers.
- Frequently involves reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasionally involves standing, walking, and climbing ladders.
- Specific vision abilities required may include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision and field of vision
Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
