Duties
- Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved methods and equipment in accordance with infection control standards
- Prepare instrument trays for various dental procedures, ensuring all items are properly assembled and functioning
- Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies, restocking as needed to maintain workflow efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument usage, and inventory logs for compliance and quality assurance purposes
- Follow strict aseptic techniques during all sterilization processes to prevent contamination
- Assist with the organization and storage of sterile supplies in designated areas, ensuring easy access for clinical staff
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to handling biohazardous materials and maintaining a sterile environment
Experience
- Prior experience in sterile processing instrument sterilization is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of Dental terminology, anatomy, and physiology enhances understanding of dental procedures and instrument requirements
- Familiarity with inventory management systems helps ensure accurate tracking of supplies and equipment
