Medical Biller – Pain Management Practice
Pain Management practice is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our growing pain management practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in physician billing who thrives in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of medical billing experience, preferably in interventional pain management, anesthesia, orthopedics, or another procedural specialty.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recent medical billing experience in a physician practice.
- Experience with pain management billing strongly preferred, but not necessary
- Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical necessity guidelines.
- Proficient in commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, workers' compensation, and personal injury billing.
- Strong understanding of claim submission, payment posting, denial management, appeals, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Experience obtaining authorizations and verifying insurance benefits is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical practice management software.
Responsibilities
- Submit accurate and timely electronic and paper claims.
- Review and resolve claim rejections, denials, and underpayments.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to maximize collections.
- Process payment postings and reconcile billing discrepancies.
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and appeals.
- Ensure compliance with payer policies and federal billing regulations.
- Work closely with providers and clinical staff to resolve coding and documentation issues.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting billing deadlines.
- Assist with physician credentialing.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
