What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practioner position at Advanced Orthopedics Institute PA?
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic practice.
This is a full-time position located in the Villages.
Clinic and Surgeries will be shared with another NP within the practice.
Core Clinical Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Assessment: Perform physical exams and take detailed medical histories to evaluate injuries, pain levels, and mobility.
- Diagnostic Ordering & Interpretation: Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs and CT’s to identify conditions like fractures or arthritis.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans, which may include prescribing medications (such as analgesics or anti-inflammatories) and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform specialized in-office procedures such as joint injections to include Gels, CSI, PRP and Stem Cell Injections.
- Surgical Support: Assist orthopedic surgeons during procedures and manage both pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.
- Rehabilitation Coordination: Collaborate with physical therapists and other specialists to design and monitor recovery and strength-building plans.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Requires at least a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Licensure: Must maintain a valid RN license, complete an accredited NP program, and pass a national board certification exam.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, compassion, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
