Windows OS Kernel Debug & Development Engineer

THE ROLE: 

AMD’s server software and solutions engineering team is seeking a senior engineer to join the Windows OS Kernel debug engineering development team. This role requires deep expertise in x86 architecture, virtualization, and security, as well as experience with Microsoft Windows OS kernel. You will work on enabling AMD x86-64 architecture features in Windows, designing and enabling core CPU and SoC features for Windows Kernel and related Microsoft OS solutions. The role spans all phases of software development, with a focus on SOC features that include security, virtualization. This position is based in Bellevue, WA or Austin, TX.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Extensive expertise in x86 computing architecture
• Proven experience across the entire software development lifecycle
• In-depth knowledge of kernels, virtualization, and security
• Successful track record in Windows product debug. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• 10 years experience
