Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Manager Product Development Eng. to Plan, direct, and/or coordinate semiconductor engineering activities. Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached. Implement standardized code review and release practices to accelerate time to production. Direct the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Develop and maintain specifications and provide planning resources and tool requirements. Evaluate final results of research and development projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives. Prepare and present reports outlining the future of technical projects and makes recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Lead team to develop and enhance data analytics and other systems based on user requirements used by AMD in Graphics Processing Units (GPU), Accelerated Processing Units (APU), and Semi-custom devices (SoC). Define sprint goals to improve transparency and prioritize tasks among developers and product stakeholders, ensuring a steady flow of development work. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Utilize expertise with computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to develop resolution to critical issues and broad design matters. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires experience in the following:

Four (4) years of experience in:

  • Performing software verification;
  • Full software lifecycle (gathering requirements, Design, Development, Testing, and Maintenance);
  • product development cycles; and
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

Two (2) years of experience:

  • JIRA issue management system and development workflows;
  • DevOps, DataOps, Agile, or Scrum;
  • MSSQL, SQL or NoSQL databases;
  • Object-oriented or Object function scripting;
  • C#, Python, Java, or Shell; and Git.
