We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehab Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:
- The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) in office assists in the delivery of therapeutic treatments and rehabilitation services to patients under the supervision of physicians, chiropractors, and therapists. The Rehab Tech is responsible for preparing patients for treatment, assisting with exercise therapy, setting up equipment, monitoring patient progress, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring proper documentation. The role requires strong communication skills, an understanding of basic therapeutic techniques, and the ability to provide compassionate, hands-on support to patients during their rehabilitation process.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with exercises, stretches, and other rehabilitative treatments as prescribed by the doctor or therapist.
- Set up and maintain therapeutic equipment, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols.
- Observe patient progress and report any concerns or improvements to the medical team.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, posture correction, and other wellness practices.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment.
- Provide administrative support as needed, such as scheduling and patient intake.
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or certification in a related field preferred).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in rehabilitation (Preferred not required)
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and office procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
