Advanced Medical Academy is seeking a Medical Assisting Instructor to begin instructing classes 2026. Looking for an energetic person with ideas and the ability to contribute to the growth of the program.

Basic qualifications for the position include:
- A minimum of completion of an approved Clinical Medical Assistant program with Certification is required with experience in the qualified subject matter.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
- 1 year of post-secondary teaching experience is highly desirable.
- CPR Instructor Certification a PLUS.

Position Responsibilities:
- Teaching in a licensed and accredited curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans in support of existing syllabi.
To provide educational Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy instructions through traditional classroom strategies and lab activities.
Essential Duties
Instruct and evaluate students in classes assigned.
Assist with all instructional activities within the program to include, but not limited to:
- Maintain suitable class records which show student class hours, academic progress, student grading system, etc.
- Development, maintenance, and evaluation of educational materials pertinent to the program needs.
- Demonstrate proper techniques in regard to Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy skills training to prepare students for clinical and national certification examination through National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Participate as a member of assigned institutional committees and attend scheduled meetings.
- Serve as an advisor for students.
- Participate in professional planning and development training as directed.
- Accept assignments as designated by the supervisor.
- Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy skills, including venipuncture and capillary sticks.
- Coordination of clinical externships for the students.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
- Current Medical Assistant certification with a National Phlebotomy Board.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Three to five years work experience.
- At least one year experience teaching adult learners, preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift objects from a low to high position or move objects horizontally from position to position.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Must have feeling in fingertips to detect size, shape, temperature, or texture.
- Must be able to stand for substantial periods of time.
- Must be able to extend arms and hands in any direction.
- Must have close visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work of students.
