Your mission Own the setup, operation, and program edits on Mazak multi-tasking Horizontal Machining Centers to deliver first-time-right parts. Imagine your shift 2:30 PM: Review the job packet, confirm workholding, check coolant and fluid levels, and load the program.3:15 PM: Cut the first article, verify dimensions and tolerances against the blueprint using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; make on-control edits as needed.5:00 PM: Move into production, performing in-process checks to maintain quality and document results.7:30 PM: Safely hitch and rig heavier components for the next setup, optimizing cycle time and part flow.10:45 PM: Wrap up by completing work records and prepping the machine for the next run.Schedule: Second shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, with overtime opportunities. What it takes 3 years of CNC mill or lathe operation.Ability to edit programs directly at the machine control.Strong shop fundamentals, GD&T literacy, and blueprint/drawing interpretation.Hands-on skill with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges, and more.Working knowledge of coolant and fluid management for machine upkeep.Competency with safe hitching and rigging to position and manipulate parts. Compensation “In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $20/hr and $35/hr.
