Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on equipment such as Mowers, skids, dump trucks, half ton and one ton trucks, trailers, whips, blowers just to name a few.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system upkeep.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, automotive electrical components, transmissions, air brake systems, and HVAC units to identify issues accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to assemble, repair, or modify machinery parts.
- Inspect machinery, industrial equipment, vehicle systems for wear and tear or damage; perform necessary repairs or replacements to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed; adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or soldering as needed for equipment fabrication or repair projects.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a mechanic in a dealership environment or heavy equipment setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems repair including hydraulics, suspension systems, transmissions, gas, and diesel engines.
- Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair and vehicle diagnostics for trucks, and equipment.
- Familiarity with schematics reading and electrical troubleshooting for automotive and industrial systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid, frontend loaders, zero turn mowers.
- Experience with welding techniques and the use of power tools for fabrication or repair tasks.
- Prior service technician experience in automotive repair or heavy machinery maintenance is highly desirable, but not necessary.

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
