Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and air brake components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, wheel alignments, and HVAC system servicing.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by interpreting schematics and utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques.
- Repair and fabricate parts for construction machinery, farm equipment, forklifts, cranes, excavators, and other heavy-duty industrial machinery.
- Oversee the assembly of new equipment or components ensuring adherence to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling large parts or machinery during repairs or maintenance procedures.
- A working knowledge of semi truck tire change.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment servicing is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes (including air brakes), suspension systems, and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for construction machinery and industrial equipment.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as excavators or forklifts is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent troubleshooting skills for diverse machinery including farm machinery and industrial equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients when needed.
- Valid certifications related to diesel engine repair, electrical systems, air brake systems, or heavy equipment operation are a plus but not mandatory.
