Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and committed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in physiotherapy, patient care, various therapies, physical therapy billing and insurance coverage, and and anatomy. Experience with pain management patients is a plus!
Schedule Needs: Tuesday through Thursday 0800-1700
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans for patients with chronic pain conditions
- Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training to promote recovery and improve function.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment interventions accurately and thoroughly.
- Educate patients on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and proper use of assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Physical Therapist to optimize patient outcomes and contribute to the development of effective care plans.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and various physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Experience with pain management or therapy plans to assist with chronic pain, preferred
