What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter position at Advanced Integrated Technologies (AIT)?
AIT is seeking talented and highly motivated First-Class Pipefitters. Must be able to layout, fabricate, assemble, install, repair, and modify piping systems. Applicant must possess the ability to perform threading, soldering, gluing, welding and/or brazing of pipes and fittings.
DUTIES:
- Follow blueprints and use hand tools and shop machines.
- Cut and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for installation of pipes.
- Cut and thread pipe and pipefittings.
- Connect pipes to fixtures and test systems for leaks, ensuring that the system meets specifications.
- Work with a tacker/helper to perform precision work and solve problems.
- Perceive pertinent detail in objects or blueprints.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years working experience, shipyard/ship repair required
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Ability to obtain a DBIDS preferred/ OSHA10
- Knowledge of blueprints and drawings
- Previous braze quals preferred
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
