Job Summary – Patient Care Coordinator
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our team as full-time Patient Care Coordinator. We provide patients with the absolute best in quality eye care. Our team members greet each patient with a friendly and professional demeanor and convey the confidence, knowledge, and attention to detail that our patients have come to trust. The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for setting the tone for each patient interaction, keeping a close eye on the office pulse, and growing sales of AFEC’s core products and services.

Responsibilities & Duties
High Level
- Managing day-to-day reception flow
- Adapting to office flow based on fluctuations
- Always prioritizing and improving patient and team member experience
- Providing feedback on improvement opportunities and assisting with implementation of change
- Emphasizing and growing the sale of contact lenses
- Championing goals specific to those performing reception duties
- Assisting with documentation and updating of processes performed
- Motivating team members in an ever-changing environment
Day-to-Day
- Positively greeting and directing all visitors upon walking through the door
- Quickly and enthusiastically answering phone calls and responding accordingly
- Sheduling patient appointments
- Thoroughly checking patients in and out of appointments
- Preparing for the next day by confirming appointments, creating patient folders and reviewing insurance information
- Responding to patient inquiries in a polite and timely manner
- Processing patient payments
- Investigating patient insurance details
- Walking patients through contact lens purchases
- Working closely with Optical team as glasses selection and checkout can go hand-in-hand
- Keeping a welcoming and safe reception area
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent customer service required
- Sales experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- High comfort level with technology
- Able to juggle tasks in a busy office setting
- Easily adaptable to change
- Open minded
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
