Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mobile Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle systems. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems including transmissions, air brakes, electrical systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts, and diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs with precision.
- Assist with equipment assembly, fabrication projects, and heavy lifting tasks to support operational needs on-site or at the shop.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards such as vehicle systems inspection and air brake certifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair needs and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with dealership or heavy equipment repair environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy duty electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, suspension components, and diesel mechanics.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers or similar industrial equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex vehicle and equipment systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and other maintenance tools.
- Certification or experience in or heavy truck repair is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude; able to perform heavy lifting safely when required.
