Advanced Equine of the Hudson Valley is a growing equine exclusive veterinary practice serving the Mid-Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut.

Advanced Equine has a close relationship with several practices in the area benefiting our associates with an attractive shared on call schedule and direct involvement, support and mentorship from veterinary specialists in the fields of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Integrative Medicine. Our practice encourages health, performance and wellbeing of our patients and clients with a diverse sport horse, sick horse, and preventative care caseload. Through our partnership with a local referral center we are also able to provide hospitalization for our patients that need 24 hour/day care.

```Duties```
- Provide compassionate care and assistance to horses in a veterinary setting
- Triage cases and perform on farm examinations and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Assist veterinarians with surgeries and other medical procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples for analysis
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
```Experience```
-Experience with horses is a must
- Knowledge of equine care practices is a plus
- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician or in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including handling and restraint techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine
- Proficiency in veterinary critical care techniques, such as monitoring vital signs and administering emergency treatments
- Licensed Veterinary Technician title is a plus but is not required
