What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drywall Finisher position at Advanced Drywall and Painting?
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of drywall finishing experience, with strong skills in taping, mudding, sanding, and occasional spray texture application. While the primary focus is finishing, occasional drywall hanging may be required. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate finishing tools, and the physical ability to handle job site demands, including working on stilts.
Responsibilities
- Tape, mud, and sand drywall surfaces
- Apply smooth finishes and occasionally spray textures using a texture sprayer
- Operate and push a 15 lb. finishing box on both walls and ceilings
- Use tools such as pan and knife, hawk and trowel, banjo, bazooka, flat box, angle box, and mud runner
- Match and blend textures when required
- Perform occasional drywall hanging
- Repair damaged drywall, including patchwork and touch-ups
- Paint or back roll as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Walk and work comfortably on stilts when required
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work safely at heights if required
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years drywall finishing experience
- Proficient with multiple drywall finishing tools and techniques
- Comfortable walking and working on stilts
- Ability to paint and back roll when required
- Experience using a texture sprayer for occasional projects
- Ability to operate power sanders and paint sprayers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
