Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for managing incoming shipments, bringing needed material to the production floor, verifying the accuracy of deliveries, inspecting goods for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs packages. Must be able to distinguish between 37 different colors and shades.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
· Record and document all received goods in the inventory system.
· Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged items to the appropriate department.
· Label and organize received items for storage or distribution.
· Communicate with internal departments regarding delivery issues.
· Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
· Facilitate accurate inventory counts and audits as needed.
· Weigh, adjust, and return all partial and unused items back into warehouse and inventory system.
· Bring all Items to production floor (conductor, compounds, reels) as needed to meet production needs.
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment safely (if certified).
· Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
· Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75lbs.)
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
Forklift certification (if applicable).
This job requires the employee to periodically wear the following personal protective equipment – PPE
OSHA approved safety shoes, safety glasses, hot mill gloves, hearing protection, and cut resistant gloves.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
