What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Manager, you will help keep the practice running smoothly while creating a positive experience for both our patients and our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Partner with Senior Management to oversee daily clinic operations and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to clinical and administrative team members.
- Assist with employee scheduling, staffing coverage, attendance, and daily workflow assignments.
- Help onboard, train, coach, and develop new and existing team members.
- Promote a positive, professional, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
- Support providers and team members in identifying and resolving operational concerns.
- Monitor clinic workflows and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the patient experience.
- Assist with addressing and resolving patient concerns professionally and promptly.
- Support adherence to ADCS policies, procedures, and established operational standards.
- Lead employee relations matters, performance conversations, and other team needs in partnership with Human Resources when appropriate.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate supplies, inventory, and an organized, safe, and professional clinic environment.
- Promote compliance with applicable healthcare, privacy, safety, and employment requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable federal and state standards.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a leader who is approachable, organized, accountable, and comfortable balancing the needs of patients, providers, and team members.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience working in a physician practice or healthcare environment.
- Previous dermatology experience preferred.
- Two or more years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Ability to coach and support employees while maintaining accountability and professional standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and healthcare practice-management or electronic health record systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle protected health information.
- Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when concerns should be escalated to the Location Manager, regional leadership, Human Resources, Compliance, or another appropriate resource.
