Your Role
As an Assistant Manager, you support the Assistant General Manager and General Manager in running a smooth, efficient, and profitable restaurant. You lead Shift Leaders and Team Members, ensure standards are met, and help execute the game plan every single day.

What You’ll Do
You’ll lead operations, develop leaders, and keep the restaurant firing on all cylinders:
- Oversee Shift Leaders and Team Members to ensure job responsibilities and performance standards are met
- Train, coach, and develop team members using the Dave’s Hot Chicken Training Program
- Ensure Ops Walks and Q&A checks are completed consistently and opportunities are addressed
- Plan and manage shift schedules while monitoring attendance, tardiness, and time‑off requests
- Assign duties based on roles, skills, and business needs
- Ensure food is prepared accurately while following all cooking, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Verify daily cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen, equipment, high‑touch surfaces, and restrooms
- Handle guest issues professionally, calmly, and effectively to maintain brand reputation
- Provide real‑time feedback to Shift Leaders and Team Members to drive productivity and morale
- Communicate performance results and improvement plans to the restaurant management team
- Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits as assigned
- Assist the AGM and GM with daily operations, special projects, and leadership initiatives
- Maintain a professional appearance and enforce uniform and brand standards
- Enforce company policies while supporting leadership decisions
How You’ll Lead
Assistant Managers are culture‑setters and problem‑solvers:
- Plan, organize, and execute daily operations alongside Shift Leaders
- Complete all required administrative duties, checklists, and paperwork accurately
- Open and/or close the restaurant as directed by management
- Build trust through honest, open, and respectful communication
- Lead by example in guest service, professionalism, and accountability
- Manage food, labor, and cash controls to protect restaurant profitability
- Resolve team concerns and interpersonal issues with professionalism

Schedule & Availability

Physical & Work Requirements
- Able to stand, move, bend, and work for extended periods
- Comfortable working around heat and in close quarters
