What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Scientist position at Advanced Clinical?
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform material characterization and analysis using techniques such as metallography, optical microscopy, SEM/EDS, microhardness testing, Raman spectroscopy, and FTIR
• Conduct hands-on laboratory testing to support medical device development, production, and regulatory activities
• Partner with scientists and cross-functional project teams to define study plans and testing strategies
• Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all laboratory work in electronic notebook systems (in accordance with GMP guidelines)
• Apply fundamental materials science principles to solve technical problems and support investigations
• Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the lab
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working with laboratory chemicals and biological materials
• Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant laboratory or industry experience required
Hands-on experience with materials characterization techniques required
Experience operating analytical instrumentation in a laboratory setting required
Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., GMP) and documenting experiments preferred
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams preferred
EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field required
