What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Lab Tech Ops position at Advanced Clinical?
We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Lab Technician to join a dynamic team focused on developing purification methods for oligonucleotide manufacturing onsite in Branchburg, New Jersey. This role will support downstream processing, purification, characterization, and formulation of oligonucleotides while contributing to platform development and scale-up activities.
The Senior Lab Technician will play a key role in maintaining high-quality laboratory operations in a regulated environment, supporting production processes, troubleshooting technical challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform and support purification, downstream processing, characterization, and final formulation of oligonucleotides using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and UV VIS.
• Execute and oversee production and laboratory support activities, ensuring quality and compliance with established standards.
• Follow and uphold SOPs, OSHA safety regulations, and cGMP requirements.
• Monitor lab supply inventory, generate purchase requisitions, and ensure accurate materials tracking.
• Input production and laboratory data into systems such as SAP and LIMS, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, and compliance with established procedures.
• Participate in required training and support onboarding of new team members when applicable.
• Assist in the design, execution, and documentation of experiments, including protocols, investigations, and reports.
• Provide input on improving laboratory processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and SOP development.
• Support troubleshooting of technical issues and assist with scale-up and process optimization activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and operational goals.
EXPERIENCE
• 2–4 years of relevant laboratory or manufacturing experience, preferably within a biopharmaceutical or GMP environment.
• Hands-on experience with chromatography (HPLC) and related analytical techniques strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory systems such as SAP and/or LIMS is beneficial.
• Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting laboratory or process issues preferred.
EDUCATION
• Associate degree in a scientific discipline or related field required.
