We are currently seeking a Research Associate II to join a leading Research & Early Development team with a well-known client onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This role will support innovative research programs focused on laboratory imaging workflows, sample processing, and data generation that contribute to the development of advanced diagnostic and analytical technologies.
The ideal candidate will bring strong laboratory experience, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a structured laboratory environment while supporting cutting-edge research initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execute laboratory and imaging workflows in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform slide imaging, image acquisition, and related laboratory activities.
• Support research studies through sample preparation, processing, and documentation.
• Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations of findings.
• Troubleshoot routine laboratory issues and support corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to support project objectives.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance laboratory efficiency and quality.
• Follow laboratory safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Support additional research activities as needed.
EXPERIENCE
• 2–4 years of professional laboratory experience in a research or development environment.
• Experience performing laboratory workflows and working with scientific equipment.
• Experience documenting experimental results and maintaining laboratory records.
• Ability to follow established procedures while adapting to changing project needs.
Preferred:
• Experience with histology, slide preparation, imaging, or digital pathology workflows.
• Experience supporting image analysis or AI-enabled research programs.
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
