Floor Care Technician

CM is currently looking for an experienced floor care technician and supervisor to join our existing team in irvine CA. Applicants must have a willingness to learn and display a strong attention to detail.

OVERVIEW

The Custodial Cleaning Technician will be responsible for maintaining the client's workspaces outside the cleanrooms and in the cleanrooms.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Shift Supervisor responsibilities: including, managing workflow, tracking attendance, monitoring performance, reviewing logbooks and communication with the Site Manager

Performs a variety of general cleaning duties when maintaining the client's workspaces outside the cleanrooms. Daily tasks include; sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying the trash, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows and entryways. Performs cleaning in a variety of areas including hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, break rooms, offices and any other assigned areas.

Performs a variety of specialized cleaning duties to include floor care (including but not limited to: carpet extraction and spotting, stripping, waxing, scrubbing and burnishing of hard floor surfaces, polishing and any other assigned cleaning duties. Mixes, labels, monitors and properly utilizes a variety of approved cleaning products.

Performs other duties as assigned my management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to perform all floor care procedures with minimal help/supervision.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• The ability to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, overtime and special assignments.
• The ability to read and understand in English all revisions of applicable Customer assigned SOPs, policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Stable work history with supervisory experience
• Excellent attendance record. (Must be reliable)
• Detail oriented.
• Reliable transportation.
• The ability to lift 40lbs, work overhead and stand for extended periods.
• Standing, bending and reaching for 8 hours.
• Complete all training requirements for specific work areas.
• 3 Years of floor care experience - stripping, waxing, buffing and general floor care understanding

This position is at a secured facility: Must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
