Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant / Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their treatment information, and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
- Setting patients up on spinal decompression therapy for cervical and lumbar spinal decompression.
- Guiding patients into the M7 Class 4 laser therapy positioning the laser, monitoring the patient and completing the treatment for each patient.
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization and benefits verification, including Medicare and HIPAA compliance
- Assist with medical documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and ensure accurate billing using platforms like Eclipse Software
- Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, assisting with patient intake forms, and managing care plans documentation
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, typing (including 10-key), and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably in chiropractic or dental clinics with familiarity in patient flow management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle patient inquiries effectively
- Ability to review medical documentation accurately and support administrative tasks related to insurance verification and claims processing
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phones and fax machines
- Prior clinic or healthcare experience is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical administration are a plus
