We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and expertise. Your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills will be essential in providing accurate information about vehicle maintenance, repairs, and service options.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, including oil changes, brake repair, transmission services, and more.
- Utilize your mechanical knowledge to assist customers with automotive diagnostics and maintenance recommendations.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Prepare accurate service estimates for customers, ensuring clarity in pricing and scope of work.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area while managing cash handling transactions efficiently.
- Foster strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up on service satisfaction.
- Stay updated on automotive technologies, trends, and best practices to provide informed advice to customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dealership or auto service environment is preferred.
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Experience with service writing and auto estimating is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to upsell services while maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Familiarity with various automotive repair processes including air brake systems, alignment, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and auto body repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering a positive experience for every client.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
