What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autobody Customer Service position at Advanced Auto Body?
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing auto body shop team. This front-office position plays a key role in creating a positive customer experience while supporting daily shop operations.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with customers both in person and over the phone, helping guide them through the repair process while providing outstanding service and administrative support.
Our shop performs a wide range of services, including collision repair, frame and structural work, dent and scratch removal, paint matching and refinishing, and general automotive repair.
What You’ll Do
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Greet all walk-in customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professionalism and positivity
- Build strong customer relationships and help create a welcoming front-office experience
- Ask for the sale and attempt to schedule customers for repair estimates and appointments
- Conduct follow-up calls regarding estimate quotes and customer inquiries
- Educate customers throughout the repair process and maintain excellent communication
Customer Repair Process Coordination
- Explain the repair process, including:
- Insurance claims processing
- Payment procedures
- Repair techniques and repair needs
- Estimated repair timelines and delivery dates
- Keep customers informed regarding:
- Repair progress
- Customer service updates
- Quality expectations
- On-time delivery status
- Schedule and record appraisal and vehicle delivery appointments
- Provide customers with warranty information upon repair completion
Administrative & Front Office Support
- Update and maintain the shop scheduler alongside the Office Manager
- Collect and record payments for completed repairs
- Accurately file and maintain repair order documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional customer reception and front-office area
- Provide general administrative support and assist with additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years of customer service experience required
- Previous automotive, dealership, or auto body experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Sales experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and POS/management systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with team members

Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Salary : $60,000 - $100,000
