We are currently seeking dynamic candidates for the position of:
TOOL ROOM LEADER
DAY SHIFT 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and AFTERNOON SHIFT 2:30pm - 11PM

JOB SUMMARY:
Accountable for toolroom support for the pressroom in the role of a working leader.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage all pressroom work assignments to maximize uptime of production.
- Assign die repair personnel to their respective job as it relates to the pressroom floor.
- Work closely with production floor supervisors to communicate tooling concerns.
- Provide training and troubleshooting support to personnel to enhance their individual knowledge and overall growth of the department.
- Consult with Toolroom Supervisor on exceptional tooling modifications.
- Ensure that all tooling upgrades, modifications, and changes are clearly documented using TS16949 forms.
- Follow all policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Train employees on job responsibilities, paperwork and work quality. Stress the important that every job we do, must be done to the best of our ability.
- Must be customer driven and work with a sense of urgency.
- Hands on responsibility for all tooling activities as assigned by the Toolroom Supervisor.
- Report to the Toolroom Supervisor repeat occurrences of employees not following policies, procedures and work instructions or continuously show carelessness by producing nonconforming or suspect material.
- Fairly evaluate employee performance based on standardized measurables and provide feedback to Toolroom Supervisor for further evaluation.
- Conduct yourself at all times in a professional manner to create a good working atmosphere.
- Educate yourself and uphold ISO14001 environmental standards for continued certification.
- Educate yourself and uphold TS 16949 standards for continued certification.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to take responsibility to the ever changing challenges that face manufacturing.
- Input on plant, product or process improvements.
- Maintain adequate supplies for department.
- Ability to obtain a fork lift license and an overhead crane permit.
- Uphold standardized safety and housekeeping policies by leading the group by example.
- Other duties, which are not essential function, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Journeyman certification for die repair
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years previous experience in automotive metal stamping environment.
- A minimum of 5 years leadership experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, a proven leader, working knowledge of all basic computer programs.
- Good organizational skills.
- Valid drivers license.
WORKING / SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Safety glasses must be worn at all times in all manufacturing areas of the company.
Hearing protection must be worn at all times in all manufacturing areas of the company.
Additional job specific personal protective equipment (PPE) is located on manufacturing bulletin boards.
