Job Summary
We are small healthcare office seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist and Office Manager to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire medical billing cycle, including claim submission, follow-up, and payment posting to ensure timely reimbursement from insurance companies and patients.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to service delivery to prevent billing issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records, update demographic information, and ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out processes, and manage office correspondence efficiently.
- Oversee office supplies, equipment maintenance, and ensure a clean, organized workspace conducive to productivity.
- Schedule patients
- Greet patients and assist with intake forms
- Resolve billing discrepancies or denials promptly by communicating with insurance providers and patients to facilitate swift resolution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance policies, CPT/ICD-10 coding systems, and billing software platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, insurance companies, and team members.
- Ability to lead office operations efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with healthcare privacy laws such as HIPAA is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is a plus. Pay: $24.51 - $29.52 per hour
