What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst - Contract position at Advance Medical Designs Inc.?
We seek a Data Analyst contractor to join our team in Marietta, GA. As a Data Analyst, you will collect and maintain company data, write algorithms and models to analyze data, and develop automated reports and dashboards to communicate your findings to company leadership and drive their decision-making.
AMD is early in the process of building our analytics department from the ground up, so you will join our existing team to help centralize our reporting capabilities by automating/improving existing reports and developing new analytics that expand our current capabilities. Ultimately, your decisions will help shape the future direction of analytics within our company.
This role is ideal for early-career professionals seeking to build expertise in data analytics applied to a diverse array of business data, from sales and marketing to inventory and logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Data Science/Analytics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- 4 years' experience in Data Analytics; experience with data mining and cleaning, writing analytics algorithms, performing statistical analysis, creating dashboards and reports, and predictive modeling/forecasting
- 2 years’ experience using Power BI (or similar) to create automated data visualizations and dashboards
- 2 years’ experience using Python (or similar) to develop complex analytics algorithms and/or predictive/statistical models
- 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Excel (or similar) to develop reports and perform rudimentary data analysis
- 1 years’ experience using Salesforce for development and administration
- Proven ability to use statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions
- Proven experience in communicating complex results in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Salesforce (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or App Builder) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in predictive modeling; preferably applied to sales or inventory
- Experience using Power Automate to automate tasks, like data clean-up and report generation/distribution
This position works on-site daily in Marietta, GA, Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
