What are the responsibilities and job description for the BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT OA position at ADVANCE KIDS GROUP?
• Supervises Direct Care Staff “Partners" to follow the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assessing the needs of direct care staff; providing ongoing feedback; providing necessary support required to provide quality programs; troubleshoots weaknesses and provides one on one teaching to increase their knowledge and abilities; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Asses the needs of consumers and develops individualized programs accordingly.
• Provides consumers with on-site supervision.
• Oversee direct care teams to ensure client success, reviews data, provides recommendations and monitors’ progress. Developing and maintaining detailed records for each client
• Continuously evaluate the consumer's progress, creating the most effective plan for the consumer and his/her gifts, talents, and interests.
• Serve as member of the IPP team and provides objectives, behavior intervention plans, and recommendations for individualized goals.
• Discuss concerns and observations of the IPP team, revise curriculum, interface with adjunctive service providers and incorporate the recommendations into the consumer's daily activities.
• Writes reports semi-annually for each client
Developing and maintaining detailed records for each client
• Provides effective communication and collaboration with parents and direct care staff members which are critical components of the position to ensure consistent and effective implementation of behavior services.
• Attends and participates in conferences and meetings as assigned.
• Must have up to date and working knowledge of Title 22.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Prior supervisory experience is not required, but preferred. Clinical Behavior Consultants are required to provide supervision and direction to two or more Direct Care Staff members.
Education Requirements:
• Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in psychology, education, special education, or related field or ...
• 12 units in ABA and 1 year experience in intensive ABA programs with individuals with ASD.
• Clinical Behavior Consultants are required to complete all training and competencies as required for Work Coaches and an additional 20 hours of training in:
o Autism research
o Progress report development
o Data analysis
o Functional analysis
o Behavior intervention plan development
o Training of others
o Person-Centered Planning
o Title 17
o Language development and training
o Vocational Training
• In addition, Clinical Behavior Consultant receives a minimum of two hours of continuing education training per month 12 months per year.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to run, stand, sit, stoop, crawl, kneel, reach, push, and lift a child weighing 75 pounds; visual, vocal & hearing acuity; use of a computer. Must be able to drive.
Background Check and Licensing Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old; criminal background check; reference checks; provide a negative TB test; education verification; current driver’s license, auto insurance.
