Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
- Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate dental records and patient information using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the practice.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable atmosphere during visits.
- Perform administrative tasks as required to maintain an organized office environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and maintaining medical records is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
