Dental Assistant (x ray certified)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth operation within the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry,
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed while following safety guidelines.
• Manage patient records using EMR systems
• Provide chairside assistance during treatments, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
• X-ray certification in MD
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques, including 3D scanning, is a plus.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical setting.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining patient comfort.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
