Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists accurately during patient intake
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, and taking vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures
- Manage medical documentation including progress notes, ICD coding for diagnoses, and detailed medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals while maintaining an organized clinic calendar
- Support hospital medicine or outpatient care settings by assisting with patient transfers, inpatient documentation, or emergency procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical office environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools
- Experience medication administration, and medical assisting techniques preferred
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
