Job Title: Security Analyst III

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, local candidates only)

Client: BNY

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex data and provide insights, conclusions, and recommendations
• Suggest actions to reduce security risks and ensure proper standards are followed
• Escalate high-risk issues and support risk mitigation efforts
• Identify operational issues and ensure timely resolution
• Collaborate with information security teams and other departments
• Support and improve the company’s security infrastructure
• Provide guidance on reports, analysis, and security practices
• Contribute to team and organizational goals

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) and information security
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills using tools like:
• SQL, DB2
• Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Business Objects
• Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of database design (logical & physical)
• Understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication (written & verbal)
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred

• Experience in financial services or securities industry
• Advanced degree (nice to have)

Additional Skills

• Understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc.)
• Experience with tools like ServiceNow and MS Office
• Strong focus on improving security controls and cyber hygiene

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
