Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in patient service, administrative support, and office management within a busy dental clinic. This role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate medical records to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments efficiently while addressing patient inquiries.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and billing procedures using dental software
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical history and updating electronic health records
- Handle medical billing and collections, insurance claims processing
- Support office management tasks such as data entry, and ensuring the clinic’s administrative functions operate seamlessly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a medical or dental receptionist with clinic or office experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with dental coding
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing skills including 10-key typing.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience with insurance verification, billing procedures, and documentation review within a healthcare environment.
